So there’s this ‘race’ tomorrow. A half marathon or something. I’ve been training hard for 12 weeks. Physically, I’m more than ready. Mentally? I’m a basket case.
I keep waiting for the gauntlet to drop. When is an injury going to flare up? My foot has been doing well on my recent runs. My knee hasn’t bothered me in a few weeks. My digestive issues have generally subsided (though the stress of the upcoming race has brought with it some flareups).
Maybe I’m waiting for an excuse. An excuse to fail.
